Here at Fern Farm, each team member brings valuable experience to ensure your dog is looked after to a high standard. Our ethos is to provide a safe and stimulating environment which your pet can enjoy to the full at this Cotswold country retreat. Customer service is paramount, providing quality feedback on your dog’s day, a flexible window for day care pick up and drop off to suit you, as well as ensuring your pet has company all day long.

Our friendly team at Fern Farm are all qualified in dog first aid, trained in canine behaviour and animal husbandry with practical hands on experience. Ongoing continued professional development and our regular reviews ensure a skilled and happy working environment.

CAMILLA HARRIS
CANINE COUNTRY CLUB OWNER

Camilla has been a licensee for several years and is second generation to run the business. She oversees the running of all aspects of Fern Farm and over the last few years has expanded the range of services and facilities on offer to achieve the sought after five star rating from Wiltshire Council for having the highest standards. Camilla holds a Diploma in Animal Care and has a strong ethos for ensuring that the welfare of guests and customer service is paramount. Camilla is proud owner of her dachshund Boris and in her spare time enjoys riding her horse Blossom.

CAROLE
FOUNDER OF FERN FARM

Having introduced dog boarding to Fern Farm in the 1980s, Carole has seen the business evolve over the years and is a licensee alongside her daughter Camilla. She has recently retired from being a dog groomer for 25 years but still provides valuable support in the running of the business. In the past, Carole has also been a breeder of Dachshunds and enjoys going on holiday in her motor home.

SPIKE
RESIDENT VETERINARIAN

Spike provides welfare and nutritional support to guests. He graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2006, has gone from running his own six vet practice to specialising more recently in high level performance horses. He is also the vet for the Great Britain Junior Eventing Team. In his spare time, Spike enjoys training his working cocker spaniel ‘Barney’, going to the races and is a keen skier.

GEORGIE
CANINE COUNTRY CLUB GROOMER & ASSISTANT

Georgie is an experienced City and Guilds qualified Dog Groomer who produces grooms to a very high standard for both day care and boarding guests, as well as local clients. Georgie has a strong understanding of dog behaviour which she transfers to create a calm, stress free environment in the Canine Country Club Salon. Georgie competes in dog agility with her Collie in her spare time.

ABIGAIL
DOG AGILITY & PUPPY CLASS TRAINER

Fern Farm is home of Abigail’s club, Bath and Bristol Agility. Offering one to one, group and residential training for guests. She is a champion dog handler, has been a frequent GB team member and competed internationally, having won at Crufts and qualified for Olympia for many years. Abigail enjoys training dogs and handlers of all breeds and abilities.

GEOFF
GUN DOG TRAINER

Geoff is one of the most renowned and respected trainers and field judges in the country. Training dogs from puppyhood to field trial champion standard. He offers one to one, group and residential training here at Fern Farm and, even if you have no interest in shooting or competition, Geoff can help you have an obedient dog by learning the basic skills and applying them correctly.
